Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, Joseph W. Fay attended Rollins College in Orlando, Florida before moving to the Washington, D.C. area in 2005. Mr. Fay first gained hands on experience in the criminal defense field as a certified investigator for attorneys in Washington D.C. before going to law school. After law school, Mr. Fay worked in a civil litigation practice on personal injury cases and cases arising under the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act, in which U.S. citizens and embassy employees had been injured in terrorist bombings. At the same time, Mr. Fay was working with experienced criminal defense and juvenile attorneys in the area and developing a criminal defense practice. In 2012, Mr. Fay started his own practice representing adults and children accused of committing crimes in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
